How to Add a Book Now Button to Instagram, Google, and Your Website
Step-by-step instructions for adding a booking button to your Instagram bio, Google Business Profile, and website - driving bookings from every channel.
By Alex Morgan
Go to your Instagram profile → Edit profile → Links → Add external link. Paste your booking page URL and label it 'Book Now'. For business accounts, you can also use the 'Action Buttons' feature under Contact Options to add a dedicated booking button. Instagram Stories: add a link sticker pointing to your booking page with a 'Book now' call-to-action.
Google Business Profile
Open your Google Business Profile → Edit profile → Contact → Booking link. Paste your booking URL. Google shows this as a 'Book Online' button directly in search results and Google Maps. This is one of the highest-converting placements because people searching for you on Google have immediate booking intent.
Your website
If you have a website, there are three ways to connect it to your booking system. Option 1: embed your full booking page in an iframe so it appears as a section of your website. Clients see your services, pick a time, and book without leaving your site. Best for dedicated booking pages. Option 2: add a floating 'Book Now' button that persists in the corner of every page. When clicked, it opens your booking flow as an overlay on top of the current page. Best for service websites where you want booking accessible from any page without changing your layout. Option 3: add a simple button or text link anywhere on your site that points to your booking page URL. When clicked, it opens your booking page in a new tab. Simplest to implement and works on any website regardless of platform. All three options are available in Better Bookings via copy-paste code snippets. No developer required.
WhatsApp and messaging
WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger are where many service businesses receive enquiries. Clients message asking about availability and pricing. Without automation, this turns into a time-consuming back-and-forth: checking your calendar, offering times, waiting for a reply, confirming. A smarter approach: set your booking link as part of your auto-response in WhatsApp Business or your Facebook Messenger greeting message. When a client messages 'can I book?', the auto-response immediately sends them your booking link with a message like 'Thanks for getting in touch. You can see our availability and book directly here: [link]. If you have questions, we will reply shortly.' This handles the 80% of messages that are simple booking requests without you typing anything. The client gets an instant response (which they appreciate) and can book self-service. You only need to personally reply to complex questions or specific requests.
Printed materials
For physical touchpoints, a QR code is the fastest path from offline to online. Generate a QR code from your booking platform's share settings and add it to every physical material: business cards (replace or supplement your phone number), shop window poster with 'Scan to book', receipts and appointment cards, flyers and leaflets, vehicle signage (for mobile businesses), gym equipment or studio walls, restaurant menus (for hospitality businesses). The QR code should link directly to your booking page, not your website homepage. When someone scans it, they should see your services and availability immediately, not have to navigate through your website to find the booking page. Every scan that leads directly to a booking option has a higher conversion rate than one that leads to a homepage and requires further clicks.
